Open Enrollment 2018

There is a lot of confusion out there about open enrollment season for “Obamacare.” Trump cut off important subsidies paid to insurance companies to help lower out-of-pocket medical costs for low-income Americans. Also, enrollment outreach will be much less than it was in the past years due to an executive order that makes it a low priority of the healthcare marketplace.

However, premium assistance is still in place as is the tax penalty if you don’t enroll into qualifying health care coverage.

What you need to know is that Open Enrollment is between November 1st and December 15th this year and changes and enrollment will be effective January 1st, 2018. The current marketplace is in a state of flux and things are getting more and more confusing by each passing year. But assistance is free. Contact me for free assistance!
