If you have recently lost your coverage from an employer, you may be eligible to continue your health insurance through that employer-plan through COBRA. The downside is that your employer will no longer contribute towards the plan and may even add an administrative fee on top of it. But if all else fails, this is an option available to you. It is important to research other options before immediately jumping on your employer/previous employer’s COBRA plan.
